Stax & West Bromich Albion Raise Money for Local Kids Hospital
West Brom midfield star Craig Gardner recently visited leading Midlands trade supplier, Stax Trade Centres, to present a signed shirt on behalf of the club following a charity raffle.
Organised by Stax Tools Section Manager, Lee Pace,
Stax managed to raise a total of £600 for Birmingham Children's Hospital from
raffle ticket sales for a chance to win the shirt.
Signed by all the West Brom players, Craig Gardner is seen presenting the shirt to lucky winner Neil Timmins of Timmins Building Services.
Birmingham Branch Manager, David Scully
commented,
"As a branch we try to raise funds for many local charities throughout the
year, so when Lee said he knew West Brom's kit man and had a signed shirt we
were delighted to be able to offer the prize. We're only a few miles from The
Hawthorns so there's a good amount of local support for the club, which meant
the prize went down well with many of our customers, and thankfully we managed
to raise £600 for a very worthy local cause."
Winner of the
shirt Neil Timmins said,
"I'm
absolutely delighted to have won the shirt! It's not a prize you can simply
buy, so to win a shirt signed by all the squad and to have supported such a
local worthy cause is fantastic!"
