Miracle-Gro® – the brand name that everyone trusts and recognises – has entered the lawn seed market with three new products.


Miracle-Gro® Patch Magic™ is a revolutionary new lawn repair product. It contains a combination of grass seed, feed and coir that ensures excellent results anywhere – even on concrete! It’s the only patching mix that takes care of the seed so anyone can grow thick, beautiful grass anywhere.

The compressed and dried coir absorbs water like a sponge, expanding instantly to surround the seeds in a moist, protective layer. It continues to care for the seeds, providing them with water and nutrients, so they build stronger roots and leaf growth that survive virtually every tough condition – from high traffic areas to harsh sun and dense shade.
Miracle-Gro® Patch Magic™ promises 50% thicker grass with just half the water. Best of all, the protective coir layer changes colour when it dries out so that everyone knows when the grass seedlings need more water.
Three sizes are available: 750g golden shaker pack to treat up to 10 patches (SRP £9.99); 1.5kg bag to treat 20 patches (SRP £15.99); 3.6kg bag to treat up to 16sq m (SRP £24.99).
 
Miracle-Gro® Patch Magic™ will be backed up with a major advertising campaign – both in store, on TV and in magazines and other publications.
 
To complement this revolutionary product, Scotts is also launching Miracle-Gro® All Purpose Grass Seed – that performs best in test to provide a thicker, greener lawn. The public already trust Miracle-Gro® to deliver fast, effective results every time and this superior grass seed mixture will show visible results in just five days under optimal weather and soil conditions. The secret is in the mix of 90% grass seed and 10% fertiliser.
Three sizes are available: 210g carton to sow 7sq m patch (SRP £4.99); 450g re-sealable pouch to sow a 15sq m lawn (SRP £7.99); and 900g re-sealable bag to sow double that area (SRP £12.99).
 
To complete the range is Miracle-Gro® Lawn Thickener Grass Seed and Feed, a unique combination of 60% grass seed and 40% fertiliser that’s perfect for over-seeding worn-out lawns. Each year, up to 25% of the grass in a lawn can die, which is why over-seeding is such a good idea. Improving a thin, worn-out lawn can be difficult with just grass seed, especially if it has been neglected. That’s why this unique mix of grass seed and Miracle-Gro® lawn feed has been developed to thicken a lawn by up to 50%. It works in just five days to green existing grass and soon the whole lawn is thicker and more beautiful.
The 500g re-sealable pouch will over-seed a 20sq m lawn (SRP £9.99).
