Polhill Garden Centre raises £1,300 for Greenfingers
The money was raised through sales of special 50th anniversary packs of Phostrogen all purpose plant food at £1.50 per pack, less than half the RRP of £3.99, during the Re-Leaf Day campaign. All the proceeds from the sales went to Greenfingers, the garden industry charity which builds gardens in children's hospices.

One anniversary pack held a golden ticket, giving UK customers the chance to win £50,000. The winner has not yet been confirmed.

Garden Re-Leaf Day took place for the first time on March 13, involving more than 500 garden centres as well as suppliers, gardeners and school children in a massive drive to raise money for Greenfingers.
