Notcutts opens two pop-up Christmas stores

Published: 18 November 2013
Notcutts has opened two temporary Christmas stores in Kingston and Cambridge in a bid to further drive sales during the festive period.
The 'pop-up' stores, branded "Deck the Halls", see Notcutts' Christmas range being offered in a shopping centre setting "to deliver a quality family experience for seasonal gifting and decoration", the company said.

The one-stop Deck the Halls shops will offer a complete range of family Christmas gift products, from pocket money gifts, games and toys to home decorations.

Notcutts' interim ceo, Andrew Staff, said: "Our objective for our Deck the Halls temporary stores was to find well positioned retail units within covered shopping centres, in locations that were within reasonable reach of our existing garden centres in order to introduce our product to a wider audience and add useful additional bottom line profit capitalising on one of our real strengths - Christmas."

The stores, in the Grafton Centre in Cambridge and in the Bentall Centre in Kingston Upon Thames, will be open until Christmas Eve this year.
