No decision yet on Arnold Laver Chesterfield closure

Published: 29 July 2008
An Arnold Laver spokesperson says no decisions have been made about the proposed closure of Arnold Laver's Timber World store in Chesterfield.
The company's directors are currently consulting employees and their representatives about the closure and investigating alternatives including redeployment of staff to other branches, Richard Gardiner, assistant company secretary, told DIY Week.

He added: "Staff are putting in a concerted effort and coming up with constructive ideas for the branch, which the directors are taking on-board."

The branch employs 21 staff. Arnold Laver has 14 Timber World branches across the UK, according to its website.
