Next has announced plans to build a new Home store in Plymouth.
The £6m outlet will sell homewares and DIY alongside a fashion offer and will also feature a garden centre. It will be the retailer's first Home store in the south west.

If plans for the new store are approved 156 new jobs will be created.

A spokesman for Next said: "Next aims to deliver an attractive and striking building with an interior design and layout that will provide an exceptional shopping experience."

Next said in March, as it released its full-year results, that it planned to open at least eight more of its Home stores over the next few years.

Sales within those Home stores opened over the last 12 months have beaten targets by 13%.
