Crown launches unique animated TV adPaint brand creates new commercial, featuring realflow fluid simulation technology - the first animation of its kind to break into the home improvement sector - in a bid to inspire homeowners to be bolder with colour.
The 30-second commercial, which hit screens on August 23, was directed by typographer Sean Freeman and uses animation to bring Crown's colour schemes to life. The idea and vision has been brought to life by Crown's creative agency, BJL, while Partizan and Lumiere Studios teamed up to produce the ad.
Crown Paints marketing director Liz Hickson said: "The new ad is the next iteration of our 'It's not just paint. It's personal' strategy. We wanted to create something that was visually very different from the ad produced in 2011 and that would make us stand out from other leading paint manufacturers. We're really hoping it will encourage consumers to embrace their personalities and express themselves through the colours they choose to paint their homes."

To support the campaign, Crown is also running a competition for tradesmen and DIYers enthusiasts to win £100 of paint. The competition will run for the duration of the TV campaign, ending on September 18.
