Two housewares products have been recalled as they can potentially burn the user or give them an electric shock.

The first is the Chinese-made Tristar Wok/Crepes Set. When in use, the metal surface of the handle of the pan becomes too hot and could cause burns if touched. The authorities believe users are likely to include children.

The product is type/model number BP-2973, barcode 8713016029737. It does not comply

Also giving concern is a smoothie maker, originating in Spain but with no brand name.

The product consists of a base to which an ingredients receptacle with mixer/centrifuge and blades can be attached. However, when the blade holder has been removed, the user has access to metal components in contact with live parts that are insufficiently insulated, thus posing a risk of electric shock.

The smoothie maker is type/model number BN 9003, batch number COCO34.

Neither product complies with the Low Voltage Directive or relevant European standard EN 60335, and both have been withdrawn from the market.
