Jewson signs deal with flood defence supplier
The provider of flood solutions, UK Flood Barriers, has formed an exclusive partnership with builders' merchant Jewson, which will be selling the company's Flood Angel defence products through a number of its branches.

UK Flood Barriers says the move will increase the accessibility of effective defences to protect from flooding via sewage systems and airbricks - far higher risk points than entrances.

The products will initially be available from 43 Jewson branches in high flood-risk zones, including Aberystwyth, where dozens of people were recently left homeless by flooding.

Flooding has never been far from the headlines this year. One in six - or 5.2m - properties in the UK are already at risk and it is estimated that the annual cost of flooding in England and Wales has reached £1bn.
