After three years co-located with the Spring Fair at the NEC, the show is going its own way again, and the 2013 event will be at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on February 10-12.

"It's an excellent venue, and gives us the opportunity to deliver a show the industry can be proud of," show director James Murray told DIY Week.

The decision to move comes after lengthy consultation with exhibitors, and Mr Murray said reaction to the news has been very positive. The Ricoh keeps the show in a central midlands location (just off J3 on the M6) but enables the Totally DIY team to take control of their show again, after an increasingly unhappy relationship with Spring Fair owners Emap saw the DIY show being shunted from hall to hall within the NEC.

"We haven't quite got all our ducks in a row yet, and there are some initiatives still be finalised," said Mr Murray. "But we're very excited."
