Dobbies first to stock ice cream for dogs
Billy + Margot, a unique new iced treat made especially for dogs was launched across 27 Dobbies Garden Centres today, making it the first and only garden centre to currently stock the new iced treat in its pets department.

Billy + Margot was developed by dog-lover and nutritionist Marie Sawle as the ultimate reward for dogs on hot days. It comes in two flavours - strawberry and apple, and apple, banana and carrot - and contains no milk, which can be harmful to dogs.

She said: "I am very excited about the launch at Dobbies as it's a great place for Billy + Margot to be stocked. Dobbies has a great pets and aquatics department and I think this will complement the extensive pet range already available."

Dobbies pets and aquatics buyer Duncan Kazakevics said: "I am delighted to be joining forces with Marie Sawle to bring this innovative doggy treat to our customers. I made the decision to introduce this uniqure product which I hope our dog-loving customers and canine counterparts will go barking mad for!'

Visitors to the 2012 Crufts Dog Show in Birmingham got a sneak preview of Billy + Margot in March, and the product was first introduced to Dobbies customers at the opening of its Gillingham Garden Centre on March 9.

The iced treat is made by Taywell and is targeting a wide range of pet retailers and garden centres.

Billy + Margot was recently awarded the Best Dog Product award at the PATS Sandown show.
