Rodo won the Mica supplier growth accolade, beating nominees Murpak and Deanston. Ian Walker of Walkers Mica Hardware presented the award to Rodo's national accounts manager Geoff Winstanley, who had double cause to celebrate after winning a bottle of champagne in the Rainy Day Trust raffle.

Mica DIY's promotions committee chair Joyce Hall presented the Promotional Supplier of the Year award to Kevin Brownhil of Ronseal, while the Representative of the Year award was received by Phil Davies from Akzo Nobel, the main sponsors of the event. This award was presented by Maria Morris on behalf of Mica DIY chairman David Morris who was absent due to illness.

Supplier of the Year was collected by Nigel Wright on behalf of Stax Bristol, the smallest of the supplier's trade centres.

In the members category Mainlys of Devizes beat Nibletts and T. Dickey & Co to win the award for Promotional Excellence. The award was presented by Mica promotions co-ordinator Dianne Foster to Mainlys owner Clare Henrich.

The Member Growth award was presented by Colin Jenkins of Shotts Mica Hardware to Double Tee Tools, while Mica DIY chief executive Steve Ball took to the stage to present the Purchasing Commitment award to Halls Mica Hardware.

Lastly, David Hidgcock of David Neill Mica Hardware went home with the award for Co-operative Spirit.
