Rolawn staff get fit for Garden Re-Leaf Day
On Tuesday, March 13, gardeners old and young across the country will celebrate the start of the gardening year by raising money for the Greenfingers charity as part of Garden Re-Leaf Day.
Rolawn fundraisers: Emily Kirland, Jonathan Hill, Claire Fleet and Deborah Wiles
Staff at Rolawn are determined to play their part by taking on a range of health-centric fundraising activities. Sales and marketing director Jonathan Hill will be taking part in 'Tour De Rolawn', a 70 mile bicycle ride visiting all the company's turf fields in the Vale of York.
Customer services manager Emily Kirkland has pledged to shed pounds for the charity by doing a 'sponsored slim'. Production team members Deborah Wiles and Claire Fleet are also getting in on the action by walking 40 miles around the perimeter of several Rolawn turf fields.
Other fundraising initiatives include bidding for a cold frame, and all head office staff have been invited to come to work in fancy dress on Re-Leaf Day.
Contributions can be made for the team's fundraising efforts via their Justgiving page.
