PPG Architectural Coatings sign up as Partners with the Rainy Day Trust
PPG Architectural Coatings - the second largest supplier of Paint and sundry products - has signed up for the Rainy Day Trust's Partnership scheme. With a portfolio of leading brands in both professional and consumer sectors, PPG sell their products via a network of more than 190 owned service centres and over 3,000 independent stockists.
With a history dating back to 1843, the Rainy Day Trust is the only charity specifically serving the needs of the home improvement industry. Through annual pensions and one-off grants, it assists people who have spent a significant part of their working lives in the industry and who now find they need a helping hand. Since 2003, the Trust has given away more than £1m - nearly all of it raised through the generosity of companies like PPG Architectural Coatings.
"When we heard about the Partnership scheme, it was an easy decision" said Paddy Lafford - Sales Director Stockists. "We're very happy that by becoming a Partner, we're giving something back. We will certainly be encouraging other companies to do likewise."
RDT Partnership shows that PPG's involvement in the industry extends beyond the purely commercial; as a company it is taking a socially responsible position as well, and can confirm that position to its staff customers.
