MFI is preparing to relaunch as an online-only retailer at the end of this month, sources close to the company have revealed.


The furniture retailer will once again offer bedroom and bathroom ranges, as well as living room and dining room furniture, but company sources said there would be no kitchens "at this stage".

The MFI website now brandishes the strapline "It's time for change", and tells visitors to "see more here in the coming weeks".

It is almost exactly three years since MFI went into administration in November 2008, after being hit hard by the downturn in consumer confidence and spending.
