Home Hardware inundated with orders for Christmas brochure
Member-owned buying group reports a record number of more than 1.3 million orders for its Christmas brochures and leaflets, which feature'3 for 2' deals to get shoppers spending over the festive period.

Home Hardware inundated with orders for Christmas brochure

Home Hardware's 'Christmas at Home' campaign features cookware, tableware, kitchen gadgets, tools, games, remote control toys, birdcare, decorations, small electricals and fireside products.

To help boost customer spending, the Christmas brochure includes a double page spread of '3 for 2' products, which in Home Hardware's experience, helps encourage customers to start their Christmas shopping early.

Demand for Home Hardware's Christmas four and eight-page leaflets has also seen an increase, resulting in print runs of more than 250,000. The smaller four-page page leaflet offers a reduced product range and, according to the buying group, is proving popular with smaller or newer members. Retailers also had the option of also adding an extra four pages of Toolbank products to their brochures or leaflets, with the promotional material mailed out to consumers via Royal Mail's Door to Door distribution.

Home Hardware marketing manager Beverley Wood said: "Our promotional brochure style and content appeals to consumers and independent retailers alike. I'm delighted we have attracted new retailers... Our promotions significantly increase customer footfall and retail sales. There has never been a more important time for retailers to promote themselves as consumers are looking for greater reasons to buy."
