Homebase launches on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube
Homebase is making the move into social media today, launching pages on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Homebase launches on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube

The retailer now has an official Facebook page, as well as two Twitter accounts, one of which will be dedicated to answering customer service queries. Its existing YouTube channel has been relaunched with a new look and updated videos.

Homebase marketing director Jo Kenrick said: "Homebase is increasingly being mentioned throughout the social media space. We wanted to ensure we can respond to customers' questions and suggestions as well as provide them with inspiration and practical advice from our expert team, all in the space where they are already active."

Content across the pages will focus on providing inspiration, ideas and practical support for DIY and home enhancement, with top tips from Homebase experts and monthly trends features on Facebook.

Customers can ask, share, 'like' and comment on decorating questions, ideas and experiences. A dedicated team within the retailer's customer service department has been specially trained to reply to Tweets and Facebook comments.

To celebrate the launch and mark Homebase's 30th anniversary this year, the company is offering anyone who 'likes' the Homebase Facebook page 30 extra Nectar points on their next purchase.
