Date set for Rainy Day Trust Karting Challenge 2011
Don't miss out on this year's Karting Challenge event in aid of industry charity the Rainy Day Trust, taking place at the Speedkarting Arena in Warrington on Sunday, May 22.

The annual fundraiser will once again involve 20 teams of three competing in five heats for the Hardware Trades Charity Trophy, along with a number of other sought-after accolades including the Bent Axle award for the unluckiest driver.

The Karting Challenge is one of the key fundraising events of the year for the RDT and has contributed more than £55,000 over the past 17 years. To ensure as much as possible is raised for the charity, a number of sponsorship opportunities are open to companies wanting to get involved.

The charity looks after people from the home improvement industry who have fallen on hard times and relies on donations from individuals and companies from within the industry as well as a number of fundraising events.

The entry fee has been maintained for the third year running at £345 plus VAT (£414), and this covers personal accident insurance. All competing drivers must be over 18. For more information call trustee David Hibbert on 0161 728 8025.
