Habitat updates offer with fitted kitchens and new website
Home retail chain starts the New Year with a new fitted kitchens range and relaunched website for UK, German and French customers.
Habitat unveiled its new kitchen range on December 26, launching a bespoke fitted kitchens department in five of its UK stores; Tottenham Court Road and Kings Road in London, Lakeside Shopping Centre, Thurrock, Oxford and Cambridge. There are already plans to roll the department out to additional stores throughout 2011.
The collection features more than 100 door designs, 16 carcass colours and a selection of worktops, including laminate, granite and stone. Habitat also offers integrated appliances from brands, such as AEG, Baumatic, CDA and Neff.
Meanwhile, Habitat relaunched its website across all of its territories, including Germany, where it launched a transactional website for the first time.
The global site is designed to offer increased functionality, so customers are now able to browse by price, range, colour, material or finish, room or department.
Visitors to the new site can also view new video content, use Habitat's Google map feature to locate their nearest store and recommend products to a friend with the retailer's Facebook feature.
