Totally new initiative
The Totally shows have announced the introduction of a 'Retail Tool Box' for next February's exhibition at the NEC, with live demos, presentations and latest launches.

The move is the result of an overhaul of the show's central feature (the New Product Showcase) says organiser Brintex. It remains at the centre of the hall, and will still be home to all the new products at the show. However, it will now also include a presentation area, which will play host to both live presentations and taped demonstrations on its large plasma screen.

The area will be hosted by Roger Bisby (from TVs Watchdog and Rogue Traders) and will include taster sessions for the Mary Portas guide to successful retailing master classes.

Plus, for the first time, the area will include a café so visitors can grab a much-needed cup of coffee!

Show director James Murray said: "Coming to a trade exhibition is all about investing some time and effort to improve your future sales, so being able to see the latest new products, watch some product demonstrations, listen to the latest market data being presented and find out about training opportunities all in the same place, in the space of an hour, has got to be time well spent. And that's exactly what visitors will be able to do in our new Retail Tool Box area.

"All the product demos and presentations will contain tips and ideas relevant to all our retailers and buyers, so even if they only stop for a quick cuppa, they'll see or hear something useful. We'll be publishing a full timetable of events for the area, as the show gets nearer, on the show website, and emailing it out to visitors to make sure they don't miss out!"

Don't miss DIY Week's comprehensive guide to the shows 'Think Totally' published with the January 28th issue.
