The retail chain has announced it will offer a new national next day delivery service covering its entire product range.

The new venture will cater for both professional tradesman and DIY enthusiasts, delivering thousands of products, including large and heavy items, to mainland UK addresses.

Wickes regional controller Andy Rayner said: "We know that for tradesmen, a reliable delivery service is the second most important factor after price when choosing a supplier, which is why we have improved our delivery service. We will now deliver over 8,500 products directly to homes or building sites, including bulky items such as sand or cement. We are proud to offer this professional service and encourage all our customers to experience the convenience and practicality of having their purchases delivered the next day."
