B&Q partners JCB to launch new tool range
B&Q has joined up with construction equipment manufacturer JCB to develop a range of power and hand tools.

The range, which will carry a five-year guarantee, will launch exclusively in all B&Q stores in Autumn 2010. The tools are built for hard work and reliability and are priced for the mid-market, targeting aspirational DIYers, says the retailer.

B&Q's commercial and marketing director John Colley said: "JCB is a world leader in innovation, research and development and this new exclusive range to B&Q will bring high quality engineering performance to the UK DIY power and hand tool market and be the coolest DIY tool brand."

Chris Wright, director of JCB consumer products said: "We are delighted to be developing this exclusive range with B&Q. This is a partnership between two world-class British companies which will bring exciting levels of performance and innovation to the market."
