GIMA raises more than £3,000 for Greenfingers Appeal
Fundraising activities at annual Awards dinner sees garden retailers and suppliers dig deep for charity.

The Greenfingers Note Raffle and table draw at the GIMA Awards dinner on June 16 raised its biggest amount to date. Three prizes were up for grabs - a 31 inch LCD TV, state-of-the-art sat nav system and an ipod shuffle - all donated by GIMA Associate member ECI Software Solutions.

The English Grown Orchid table centre arrangements from Hollyoak Nurseries sponsored by ceramic pot supplier Scheurich on each of the 38 tables were also available in the table draw.

The proceeds from these two activities raised £3,148 for the Greenfingers Appeal.

Broadcaster and journalis Richard Jackson who is a trustee of the Greenfingers Appeal said: "I've just heard how much was raised for Greenfingers at the GIMA dinner. It's a fantastic sum and we're absolutely thrilled."
