Plasplugs officially in administration
Struggling design and manufacturing firm Plasplugs has officially gone into administration.
Companies House confirm the sad news
The Burton-on-Trent based business has been in trouble for the last three weeks and its offices have been deserted since the start of the month.
Companies House has confirmed this afternoon the business, founded by Stuart Turner in the early 1970s, was in administration.
The firm has made no comment since closing its base two weeks ago and staff have been in limbo since early March.
Plasplugs is currently being run by administrators MCR from their Manchester office.
MCR were not able to comment this morning when contacted by diyweek.net.
However, MCR do have a history of working with big households names and recently worked to try and save MFI.
Plasplugs owes more than £5m in bank loans against a turnover of £18m a year.
Companies House also record two County Court judgements against Plasplugs in Northampton's court for £4610 on the 4 March and at Stratford-on-Avon's court on 9 March for £15,403.
