Sales have shot up 23% since a Welsh DIY store opened its new drive-through
The new-look Leekes' Building Centre was officially opened in June after the firm identified a local market in Llantrisant, Glamorgan for easy access to building materials and cost-effective ranges.
Liam Pritchard, centre manager, shows customers don't have to leave their vehicles to pay
The centre's drive through facility, which the firm claims is the first of its kind in Wales, allows customers to load and pay for products without leaving their vehicle.
Lee Tiffin, home improvements business manager at Leekes, said: "Even though we're in the midst of a recession, the home improvements sector of our business is performing well.
"The emerging trend for improving the home rather than moving house is evident in our sales figures and the number of trade accounts opened in the last six months is up by two thirds."
Leekes' Building Centre also has locations in Melksham, Cross hands and Tonypandy as well as Llantrisant.
