Scotsdale shines at Haddonstone Stockist AwardsCambridgeshire garden centre named top performer in awards that celebrate the hard work of independent garden centres across the country in display and sales.
Scotsdales Garden Centre has been awarded the 'Best Consistent Performance over 5 Years', honour by Haddonstone, the UK's leading manufacturer of cast stone garden ornaments.
The highly sought-after award was introduced to show recognition to the stockist who has continually made an outstanding contribution to presenting and selling Haddonstone's ornamental product range.
Scotsdales was also runner-up in the 'Best Display' category behind Waterperry Horticultural Centre, near Oxford. It achieved the award for the best Haddonstone display in 2007.
The annual Stockist Awards, now in its sixth year at Glee, handed out a third award to Otter Nurseries, which was named the 'Most Promising New Stockist' for showing an encouraging start in representing Haddonstone's ornamental product range.
Haddonstone's managing director, Adrian Coles, presented the awards.
Displays were judged on performance in six categories - product mix, condition of stone, display, planting, labelling and overall effect.
Haddonstone's director of ornamental sales, Alison Lowe, said: "Our new awards for 'Most Promising Newcomer' and 'Best Consistent Performance over 5 Years' enable us to recognise exceptional effort encompassing a maintained high quality display, good customer service and all the other elements which lead to regular, confident customer orders."
