Plasti-kote outperforms specialist paint market
Plasti-kote, part of the Valspar Corporation, has said a recent £500,000 investment in a consumer advertising campaign has paid huge dividends.

The coatings manufacturer told DIY Week.net that figures from market analyst GfK for June show Plasti-kote outperforming the market in both volume and value.

In the specialist paint sector Plasti-kote says it outperformed its rivals, and achieved a volume growth of 10.31% year-on-year.

In the spray paint sector Plasti-kote achieved year-on-year volume growth of 10.99%, gaining 4.7% points in market share. High gloss and metal finishes were the stand-out product categories.

"Our consumer advertising campaign has been complemented by a strong pr campaign with 15 million consumers seeing the Plasti-kote brand in June," said Paul Silk, head of sales and marketing for Plasti-kote. "We are now rolling out a series of merchandising and POS initiatives that will support this strengthening of our brand."
