Scotts to extend garden care season with extra money for tv advertising
Thanks to a booming start to the gardening season, Scotts Miracle-Gro has allocated extra money for more tv adverts for the new Liquafeed system. The extra £250,000 on top of the £1.4 million already spent will be used in June and early July to generate more interest in the peak feeding season.
The tv commercial featuring the Pathclear Gun! Season Long will be screened nationwide, and Scotts claims that three quarters of all consumers will see the advertisement an average of four times.
Speaking about the peak season advertising blitz, head of marketing, Sarah Greenaway says: "The season's not over by a long chalk. Big displays of Miracle-Gro feeding products and similar till ends for weedkillers are the way to maximise turnover and profits."
