The openings will see 27 new jobs created ranging from sales advisors to TradePoint managers.

B&Q's trade arm already has 120 counters across the UK, including 14 in the London area, while TradePoint 'order and collection' points are also available in more than 200 other B&Q stores.

TradePoint director Ian Herrett said: "Tradesmen across London will be pleased to hear that we're opening new counters to meet the demand for general building products including building products, plumbing, electrical, kitchens, bathrooms, work wear and expert advice. This means that we're on the hunt for a range of candidates to join the Trade Point team who have a passion for everything trade-related."

B&Q parent Kingfisher launched TradePoint back in March 2010 with a £26m investment.
