Media Events, organiser of the successful annual Garden Press Event, has announced the launch of The Home Enhancement Press Event, set to take place next July.
The Home Enhancement Press Event will take place on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at The Barbican Exhibition Hall, London.

Media Events director Guy Burtenshaw told DIY Week that he is excited about the launch and explained what prompted the creation of the new event: "Following on from the success of The Garden Press Event, requests from suppliers and media professionals to set up a similar event, as well as discussions with interested parties, we decided that it is now the right time to launch a home press event."

The aim of the event is to connect house, home and related suppliers and manufacturers with the most influential journalists and media professionals from the national press and the biggest magazine titles.

Addressing suppliers and manufacturers, Mr Burtenshaw said: "It is the best opportunity to showcase your range and to launch new products. Also, the timing allows you to feature Christmas related products should you wish to."

He added: "The only audience is writers, journalists and media professionals from the major 'home' magazines, as well as national and local press home feature writers, TV and Radio journalists and producers, bloggers and website writers. It is the best chance to impress and meet the media."

The event is aimed at suppliers of products and brands that would be considered as part of the 'home interest' sector. Whilst this can cover many industries, Media Events explained it is trying to focus on home enhancement, which it sees as covering, renovation, decoration, DIY and accessorising. "We are trying to specify the areas that the event will cover to ensure we get the right exhibitors in front of the relevant visitors," said Mr Burtenshaw.
