Nearly 40% of Brits planning to splash out on garden products this summer
The garden woodcare brand polled more than a thousand Brits aged 18 and over and found 77% are planning to spend time in the garden this summer, with more than half already at work preparing their gardens for BBQs and parties.

Meanwhile more than a third said they were planning to spend more on gardening and horticultural products than they did last year. Cuprinol also reported a sharp increase in the number of sheds being bought - up 22% on 10 years ago. More than a quarter said they were organising patriotic parties this year compared with previous years.

It has been predicted that supermarkets will reap the best rewards from patriotic retailing this weekend, with Tesco reportedly already seeing a 300% increase in sales of disposable tablewares.
