Monkton Elm teaches children about the three R's
Cathy Karniewicz, who is known as Mrs Recycle, will be visiting Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre on April 12 to host recycling workshops where children can create flowers from used plastic bottles and yoghurt pots.

Norma Moore, General Manager at Monkton Elm, said: "We have invited Mrs Recycle, who is well-known in the South West for promoting the three Rs - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle - at schools and community events, to the garden centre to host workshops and chat to youngsters about recycling."

Children are being asked to take along any old bottles, crisp tubes or yoghurt pots to create plastic plants and flowers at the workshops, which will take place from 11am until 3pm on Saturday.

During the day, there will also be displays giving free advice on recycling and reusing resources from Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP).
