Millbrook Garden Centre wins visit from David Domoney

Published: 24 February 2014
Millbrook Garden Centre's Gravesend branch has won a visit from ITV gardener David Domoney as part of Garden Re-Leaf weekend.
The garden centre beat hundreds of others to win the on-site appearance as part of the annual charity event, which will take place between March 14 and 16.

While at the garden centre, Mr Domoney will deliver free 30-minute talks on how to encourage wildlife into gardens, as well as doing informative tours around the centre's revamped wildlife area and bird hide.

Matthew Upton, manager at the Millbrook centre, said: "We were thrilled to win the visit from David. The competition has been the springboard to lots of ideas for attracting customers and boosting our Garden Re-Leaf Day fundraising, as well as engaging with local people. We're looking forward to the day."

Garden centres are in the process of preparing a whole host of special events and activities for Garden Re-Leaf Day, which takes place on Friday, March 14 and across that weekend.
