Mary Queen of shops to makes a success of the high street
BBC2 is now making a new series of its popular 'Mary Queen of Shops' - and offering an invaluable opportunity to independent businesses across the country.

Retail guru Mary Portas is turning her attention away from fashion retailers and is now focusing upon the non-fashion independent retail sector, including hardware stores, DIY retailers, cookshops and garden centres.

She has had much success with fashion retailers but the current economic climate means it's tough for the entire independent sector. So, Mary wants to take on a very different challenge - to bring her 'Midas touch' to six non-fashion British high street independent stores.

The BBC explained: "Up to 100 shops a day are closing in Britain. You may also be feeling the pinch. But, through expert advice, sharing the tricks of the trade, and devising a solution specific to your shop, we can try to get your store on the road to success. It's a very special, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

If you are an independent shop that feels it is getting left behind or struggling and you would like some help from Britain's leading retail expert, contact Tom or Nikki on 020 7967 1285 or email queenofshops@optomen.com

I'm a fan of a long awaited Time To Change
We as individuals and collectively as a nation should demand the Best possible Retail experience which leaves us with positive feelings of the feel good factor which will be remembered every time we wear the product.
We need a service that we would be HAPPY to pass on to a friend and nothing less will do.
I have an experienced eye for necessary change, If you need a dedicated entourage then take me on.

I am deeply offended by you and your show Mary Porter. Who do you think you are? Why would people earning (barely) minimum wage go above and behond to help the likes of you? It's nothing short of class snobbery. There are plenty of office workers, government workers etc earning FAR MORE money and doing a far WORSE job of it. Go and do something useful with your life.

Great show. I brow beat my customers, independent apparel stores in the American Midwest to watch and learn from Chef Ramsay. Now, I will have them watch Mary on the BBC America.
