Man attempts to steal venetian blind in trousers

Published: 19 October 2016 - Jenny Wonnacott

Police in Northampton are searching for a man who attempted to steal a venetian blind from Dunelm Mill by concealing it down one trouser leg and up the back of his jacket.

According to local police, the man entered the Dunelm Mill branch at Nene Valley Retail Park in Northampton between 2 and 2.25pm on Sunday, October 16. He then attempted to stow the blind in his clothes before leaving the store without paying.

Staff from Dunelm followed the man up a nearby canal path where he hastily removed the blind and ran away. The blind was apparently left damaged as a result.
