Dear DIY Week readers

I would like to take this opportunity, to thank the DIY and Housewares community for their messages of support during my recent illness.

I appear not to have been left with any residual problems normally associated with suffering a stroke and thankfully I have been given clearance to resume working, initially on a part time, flexible basis with a view, all being well, to work towards a full time resumption towards the end of September or early October.

It is life threatening events that tend to make us look upon what is important in life, our own activities and how we react to others and I can say the way the industry have reacted towards me has been very uplifting.

I look forward to seeing as many people from the industry as I can during the next few months of exhibitions and events and hope to have the opportunity to say thank you in person.
