Screwfix has marked an important milestone for the brand with the opening of its 250th store.
The latest launch is in Poole and is the second Screwfix outlet in the town. It has created 18 jobs and has a full offer of over 11,000 tools, hardware, plumbing and electrical equipment.

John Mewett, marketing director with the multi-channel supplier, said Screwfix was "further shaping our presence around the UK. We look forward to continuing our rapid expansion programme and helping to make the brand even more accessible to tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts across the nation."

The opening comes hot on the heels of the launch of Screwfix's Click & Collect service, enabling customers to check online or on their mobile that the products they need are in stock and then collect just five minutes later from their local branch.

Screwfix, a Kingfisher company, also recently released a new-format catalogue, which is free and now available to download as an iPhone, iPad or Android app.
