Improved protection

Published: 5 April 2011
It's rust, not break-ins, that destroys most padlocks, says Abus, so the company has developed 'NanoProtect' to ensure its essential components are rust-resistant for 40 years.
Improved protection
The technology is a specific way of chrome-plating hardened steel shackles, closing up microscopic gaps that would normally occur through to the core steel.

NanoProtect is now being applied on a running change basis on the Abus 65, 70, 72, 82, 83, 85, 86 and 92 series padlocks.
