Next week will see Ikea opening the doors of its new Westfield Stratford city order and collection point.
The fourth of its kind in the UK and the first in London, the 900sq m unit has been designed to bring the Ikea home furnishing range and expertise closer to more customers. Acting primarily as a planning studio to plan "complex purchases" such as kitchens, wardrobes and sofas, the outlet will also feature the typical Ikea room sets and ideas.

Due to its size, it will not carry the full product range, but customers will be able to order from Ikea's online range for home delivery or collection. There will also be a small range of selected "market hall" items available for customers to take home on the day of their visit.

Said Ikea Westfield Stratford order and collection point manager Micro Righetto: "We are delighted to be bringing this unique version of IKEA to Westfield. Today, customers in the region shop with us online but they have to travel to other London stores to see the range or get advice from our co-workers. Located within 5 minutes of the train stations and close to major bus routes, IKEA Westfield Stratford City Order and Collection Point will be easy to access by public transport, something that we know is important to many customers who live in London.

"We have had a lot of positive feedback for bringing IKEA to the area and so we expect the first few weeks will be quite busy. We look forward to welcoming new and existing customers to the Order and Collection Point over the coming months."
