Homebase offer brand price match gaurantee

Published: 24 November 2017 - Kiran Grewal

Homebase has begun offering a brand price match gaurantee to help ensure the company's "prices are competitive", and if you have purchased a branded item from Homebase and find the identical branded product in stock and cheaper elsewhere then the retailer will refund the difference.

More information on the pricing policy on the website is as follows:

Purchases online:

If you have purchased a branded product online, please take a copy of your homebase order confirmation into your local store. You will need to provide details of where you have seen the branded product cheaper as detailed in our terms and conditions below. Refunds on the price difference can only be offered in store and are not available online.

Purchases in store:

If you have purchased a branded product in store, please take your homebase receipt back to a Homebase store along with details of where you have seen the branded product cheaper as detailed in our terms and conditions below.

Terms & conditions

You need to make a claim within 14 days of purchase. Bring into your local Homebase store a copy of your Homebase receipt.

Let us know where you saw the cheaper price by providing a copy of a sales receipt, photo of a price ticket, website print out, marketing email, flyer, press advert, catalogue, or some other evidence that identifies the product and the competitor. In addition to seeing the price we will then need to confirm that the product is actually in stock at the competitor.

When we say identical branded products we mean products that are the same model, model number, size, weight, colour, is in stock and have the same attributes and functionality. Own brand and exclusive lines are excluded from the guarantee.

Make sure the item that you have seen is a retail product, we don’t match against trade suppliers, trade offers, wholesale suppliers or bulk purchase prices. We also do not match against online marketplaces or auction sites.

We don’t match product that is in clearance.

We cannot accept claims that relate to other HHGL Limited brands (Bunnings and Bunnings Warehouse stores).

Our Brand Match Guarantee is entirely at the discretion of the store manager which includes determining that the products are identical and in stock.

We reserve the right to decline, alter or withdraw this offer without prior notice.

Pricing online

Product ranges and prices on this website have been chosen for Homebase.co.uk.

Online prices may vary from the prices of comparable products in store.

Sometimes you might find that an online price or promotional offer is different to the in-store price or promotional offer.

In-store price promotions won't necessarily be available at Homebase.co.uk

All prices are pounds sterling and include VAT (where applicable) at the current rates. But they exclude delivery charges, unless expressly stated otherwise.

See home delivery information for details

The price you pay online is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order. No other prices published by Homebase are applicable to these items. But please note the following:

We try to make sure all prices on our website are accurate but sometimes errors might occur.

If we find a mistake in the price of online items you've ordered we'll tell you as soon as possible. You have the choice of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we can't contact you we'll treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel but have already paid for your items, you'll get a full refund.

And a point about lines sold in Homebase stores but not necessarily available online... We work to ensure online prices are reflected in prices offered in store. But in the rare instance that a discrepancy between prices occurs, we reserve the right to withdraw the product from sale.
