The incident took place at the Eddington Business Park store between Sunday, December 4 at 5pm and Monday, December 5 at 7am. A fence was damaged at the rear of the store premises during the burglary.

Said detective inspector Vicki Tyler, "We would like to hear from anyone who may have more details that will help us to locate these missing trees.

"It is highly likely that whoever took them will attempt to sell them in the local area or further afield. We would urge anyone who is approached to buy a tree, which is clearly not from a reputable company, to contact the police immediately."
