Essential reading for retailers and suppliers in the home improvement market

Homebase appoints new advertising agency

Published: 16 July 2008
Homebase has announced the appointment of Leo Burnett as the company's new advertising agency.
The home enhancement retailer chose the agency after it impressed in a five-way pitch.

The agency has a client list which reads like a who's who of business: McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Walt Disney, Nintendo, and Samsung.

Ajay Kavan, marketing and strategy director of Homebase, said he is looking forward to strengthening the brand and making 'significant' improvements in the way it communicates with customers.

Neither party has revealed what campaigns will be forthcoming from the retailer.

Homebase's last campaign was centred on the orange dot from the company logo, which becomes an animated portal through which consumers can catch a glimpse of the Homebase range.
