Home Hardware set for Christmas
Home Hardware reported that members have ordered a record number of more than 1,200,000 of its Christmas brochures and leaflets - an increase of 20% on last year.

The Christmas 'Sparkling Gifts' campaign features games, remote control toys, birdcare, gadgets, small electricals, cookware, tableware, party accessories, tools and fireside items. The brochure also promotes a '3 for 2' range.

Home Hardware's smaller four-page Christmas leaflet had print runs of almost 200,000 and gave retailers the option of adding an extra four pages of Toolbank products.

According to Home Hardware, the company has traded at record levels for six of the eight months in 2009.

A draw held at Home Hardware Southwest's Autumn Trade Show at Westpoint Exhbition Centre in Exeter on September 16 raised £400 for charity. The total is to be split equally between Cancer Research and The Rainy Day Trust. The £100 cash first prize was won by Darren Murley of Typhoon.

Also at the show, Heath McCabe was voted Best Display Stand, earning company director John McCabe a cash prize of £100 and a framed certificate.
