Home Hardware Scotland welcomes new members

Published: 5 November 2010
Three more independent retailers have joined Home Hardware Scotland, bringing the total number of member shops across Scotland and the north of England to 56.
The new members are K2 in Kirkwall, Nurseries Direct in Ayrshire and Scott Brothers in Peebles.

Home Hardware Scotland general manager Chris McEwan said: "Over the last year we have had a surge of retailers enquiring and joining us. They realise that once they are members they can compete with the multiples on price and stock availability. And unlike with other buying groups, the members make the profits - not Home Hardware!"

Turnover is up 27.92% for the month of October and is 20.4% ahead for the year, which Home Hardware Scotland attributes to an aggressive marketing campaign and the increase in membership.
