Home Hardware raises over £3,000 for charities

Published: 4 December 2013
Members, suppliers and staff at Home Hardware's recent convention raised over £3,000 to be split between three charities.
£400 will go to the Shelterbox/Philippines Disaster Fund. ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity that provides emergency shelter and life-saving supplies to displaced families.

Another £400 was raised for Children in Need, and £2,200 will be given to The Children's Hospice South West, the latter being raised in two ways.

Firstly, Rug Doctor loaned Home Hardware head office two carpet cleaning machines and detergents for staff use. As a result of monies collected from the sale of detergents together with internal fund raising by staff, £500 was raised. The prize draw at the Convention Gala Dinner brought in a further £1,700, which included a donation of £500 from The Rowlands Group.
