Hanging basket masterclass at Squire’s to best Easter washout

Published: 26 April 2018 - Kiran Grewal

Squire’s Garden Centres are running its very popular “Large Summer Hanging Basket” planting masterclass on Friday May 18 at 10am and 2pm.

Hanging baskets can make a real statement in your garden and Squire’s gardening experts will show you how to line a large basket with moss, then position a selection of upright and trailing plants, as well as a centrepiece plant. The company says attendees will also be taught some simple tricks so that your plants should bloom for months on end.

Tickets are £25 and include everything needed to make a hanging basket – the tuition, basket, moss, compost, and all plants. The masterclass lasts around an hour then tea or coffee and cake are supplied in Squire’s Café Bar, and 10% off any other plants purchased on the day.

Garden centres across the country were affected by the bad weather during the early Easter break (March, 2018) according to the Garden Centre Association’s (GCA) Barometer of Trade (BoT) report, Squire's looks to keep up its momentum by offering customers opportunities to learn from its experts.

Squire’s Garden Centres is a successful family-owned horticultural business that serves the local community. There are 15 Squire’s Garden Centres to discover across Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, Middlesex, North and West London.
