Mr Ellam, 45, starts work today at the leading supplier of decorating tools, and UK subsidiary of Swedish Group Anza.

He joins from Robert Bosch after 12 years working for the garden division, most recently as national account manager.

Prior to this, he held senior roles in international product marketing, the most recent of which culminated in The Bosch Isio winning two prestigious DIY Week Gold awards at The Industry Awards 2007.

Mr Ellam's career has also seen him working with both the diy and trade markets in the UK and overseas.

Commenting on his appointment, managing director John Grayson said the appointment adds significant weight to the company's progress toward its aggressive growth plans in 2008.

He added:"With Mark's extensive experience of both product management and direct customer support, he is perfectly equipped to be able to develop our overall product vitality rates and ensure effective communications are maintained for our current and future customers."
