Glasgow's Crocket the Ironmonger to close down

Long-established Glasgow store Crocket the Ironmonger, which has become something of a landmark in the city, has announced that it is shutting up shop.

The family-run business, which was founded in 1870, blames high rates and restrictive parking on its decision to close down.

However, its Ayr shop will remain open and the business will continue to trade online.
