GIMA appoints new director
GIMA past president, Nigel Thompson, of Stewarts Plastics, who chaired the recruitment process, commented: "After interviewing a very strong shortlist of candidates, Vicky was selected and we are delighted that she has accepted the role of director.

"Having worked in a sales and marketing environment in our industry for nearly 13 years, Vicky is well aware of the issues facing suppliers in today's market. As a contributing member of the GIMA council for more than six years she was appointed as president at the last GIMA AGM. Since then she has more than demonstrated her ability to run our association and move it on to its next stage of development."

Ms Nuttall, who is currently head of marketing at Forest Garden, added: "I am very pleased to have been given this opportunity to run GIMA on behalf of its members, and look forward to the challenges ahead. Neil has done some fantastic work over the last seven years. I hope I can bring as much enthusiasm into the role as he has done."

She will continue in her role as GIMA president until the AGM in early 2014, by which time she will have taken over from Mr Gow, who finishes at the end of February.
