Garden centre groper found guilty

Published: 25 February 2010
The elderly proprietor of a Preston garden centre has been found guilty of groping two female customers.
Stanley Salisbury, 72, assaulted a 48-year-old woman in May last year at Eastway Nurseries near Fulwood.

Preston Crown Court heard how he groped the woman's breast after stacking her arms full of trays of flowers, according to a report in the Lancashire Evening Post.

The woman came forward to police after reading a newspaper report of Salisbury's court case regarding another victim in her forties.

Eastway Nurseries, which is still open for business, declined to comment.
